TYPE OF EVENT & VENUE A classic mambo social held in a dance studio with wood floor.  Central & window air conditioning.
MUSIC Almost entirely pure classic salsa plus a little cha cha, bachata & merengue.
DANCE PERFORMANCES Sometimes.  They are listed on our Main Calendar.
DJ DJ "Mr. Showtime" plus invited guest DJs.
BAND None.
DANCE FLOOR 1 medium size wooden dance floors,  "medium speed".
PRICES Usually $5 with complimentary food.  Prices subject to change.
BEVERAGES AND FOOD Cash beverages such as water, Gatorade, sodas, etc. will be sold.  Sometimes there is complementary food.
DRESS CODE Casual

Almost entirely "New York On 2" timing and style.

DESCRIPTION Mike Rodriguez is the founder and director of the Latin Reflections Dance Company located in Brooklyn.  They have been performing at our local socials and events for several years now.  Mike is also an instructor at La Salsa De Hoy Dance Studio, the first On 2 studio in Brooklyn, run by Carlos Vazquez.

Mike invites everyone to this social which is given for all dancers in NYC and beyond.  There will be performances and, of course, plenty of dancing to classic salsa music.
 

HOW TO GET THERE La Nueva Salsa De Hoy Dance Studio, 504 46th Street, corner of 5th Avenue, in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, 11220.  Click Here For Map .  Phone 718-686-0735.  Web site www.LaNuevaSalsaDeHoy.webs.com  .  The closest subway is the R train to the 45th Street Station on 4th Avenue.  Walk one block to 5th Avenue and then one block to the corner of 5th Avenue & 46th Street.

By Train:  R train to 45th Street Station on 4th Avenue, then walk to Fifth Avenue & 46th Street. 

By Car From Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan:

To get there by car from Manhattan, Queens or the Bronx, take the Brooklyn Queens Expwy / Gowanus Expwy. west toward the Verrazano Bridge.  Take the 39th Street exit, make a left at the light, make a left at 46th Street, then drive to the corner of 5th Avenue & 46th Street.
