TYPE OF EVENT & VENUE This is a salsa nightclub event presented by an "On 2" dance studio, but all salsa dancers are invited.  It is held in a large classy club room and lobby in the Hilton Hotel with a lot of dancing space, a wooden dance floor which is "medium speed" and plenty of extra space for relaxing and socializing with lounges, tables and chairs.  There is a full cash bar.  Free parking. 
MUSIC Almost entirely pure classic salsa plus a little cha cha, bachata & merengue.
DANCE PERFORMANCES Yes.  See our Main Calendar for names of performing groups.
DJ Salsa DJ Ray Colon of U-Neek-Sounds Entertainment .
BAND None.
DANCE FLOOR Large wooden dance floor which is "medium speed".
PRICES $30 in advance, $35 at the door..
BEVERAGES AND FOOD Full cash bar with beer, wine and cocktails plus non-alcoholic beverages at reasonable prices. 
DRESS CODE Dress to impress.  Some people dress really hot.  It's a gala event, folks.  Dress to make it special.

DANCE TIMING

Mostly "New York On 2" timing and style plus people of all timings are invited.

DESCRIPTION This salsa hotel club night is a meeting place for dancers of all levels to party to the sounds of classic salsa & more by DJ Ray Colon , and to hang out with other partners and dancers who share the same passion for dancing mambo.  La Quinta Inn is very attractive, the drinks are delicious and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere among the dancers is exciting and friendly.  You will dance a lot.   

This pure salsa nightclub event is presented by Marcus Nieves of MDN Latin Dance Studio in New Jersey.  Marcus has been a performer and instructor in our NY/NJ mambo scene for years.  In the past he performed with “Fuerza Latina Dancers” in many events around the tri-state area, which provided him the exposure he needed to be recognized in the dance scene.  In 2000, Marcus began dancing with Descaga Latina Dancers and he took party in the off-Broadway show “Latin Madness”.  In late 2002, Marcus worked as one of the “Copa Boys” for the world famous “Copacabana” and in 2003 he become a member of the “Eddie Torres Dance Company” .  For the last several years, he's been the director of the MDN Latin Dance Studio in New Jersey.
