DESCRIPTION |
A pure mambo dancer's event brought to us by NJ performer, instructor,
choreographer and
all-around "Mr. Nice Guy"
Mario
Gonzalez, AKA "Mambo Mario B". In addition to his own teams, he has
performed with the Santo Rico Dance
Company and the Mambo Mamas. He is also a popular salsa DJ. This
event is a regular Thursday night salsa party held in a very nice and popular nightclub, the
Whiskey Cafe, with a full restaurant and
bar. There will be music by DJ Mario
B and guest DJ's.
Lots of On 2 dancer partners will be there from the tri-state area mambo
community. The excellent wooden dance floor is huge so there's plenty of
room for everyone to have a great time dancing. Start the weekend early
with Thursday night mambo at the
Whiskey Cafe. From Manhattan, it's
only a 20 minute drive to this spacious club. For New Jersey salseros, no
need to go to Manhattan for your Thursday night dancing; it's all right here.

OTHER INFORMATION |
PLEASE NOTE:
Must be age 18 and over with ID. Age 21 and over to drink alcoholic beverages. Anyone under
21 can attend, but will have to wear a "Bar Beware Bracelet".
Mario
Gonzalez always says: "Don't move to the music.
Let the music move you."
Please Note: Since commercial clubs have high expenses and need to
make a profit in order to stay open and continue playing lots of salsa, they
will therefore cater to the customers who spend the most money at the bar. Mambo
dancers can help get what they want by spending more money for drinks at the bar, even if
it's sodas, fruit juices, virgin cocktails, water, sports drinks. You may
think you're smart by not buying anything at a club, or sneaking in a bottle of
water or liquor, but actually you are
pushing them to cater to other customers who will spend more at the bar.
Those are the customers who want to hear other kinds of music instead of
salsa. If you want commercial
clubs to feature more salsa nights, you have to pay for it by purchasing
beverages at the bar. This is just simple economics.
