Held at Angel of Harlem, a restaurant located at 2272 Frederick Douglass Blvd., at the intersection of St. Nicholas, Frederick Douglas and W. 122nd Street, in Harlem in the upper West Side of Manhattan, NYC.  Phone 212-316-0350.

TYPE OF EVENT & VENUE This event is held in a friendly & chic restaurant with full bar, Angel of Harlem, in Harlem's "restaurant row" neighborhood.  There is a good dance floor with DJ playing classic salsa & cha cha.  Very reasonably priced brunch menu and drink specials.  A relaxing salsa dancing and dining afternoon event in nice surroundings.
MUSIC Almost entirely pure classic salsa plus a little cha cha.
DANCE PERFORMANCES No.
DJ DJ Om or invited guest DJs.
BAND No.
DANCE FLOOR Good dance floor which is "medium speed" located next to the bar & dining area.
PRICES Free admission, though the purchase of moderately priced drinks and/or brunch is encouraged.
BEVERAGES AND FOOD Full bar plus reasonably priced tasty menu of brunch dishes & drinks.  See The Menu.
DRESS CODE Casual.

DANCE TIMING

Mostly "New York On 2" timing and style.  However everyone is welcome to come and dance regardless of their style. 

DESCRIPTION At SalsaBrunch they have created a community setting where people can enjoy great food, music and dancing.  Their goal is to combine the best of both worlds and bring together people who love salsa music and dancing and food-lovers who enjoy brunching in the Big Apple in a relaxing afternoon setting.  They've been getting a nice turn-out of mambo dancers.
 
HOW TO GET THERE This monthly salsa party is being held at Angel of Harlem, a restaurant located at 2272 Frederick Douglass Blvd., at the intersection of St. Nicholas, Frederick Douglass and W. 122nd Street, in Harlem in the upper West Side of Manhattan, NYC.  Phone 212-316-0350.  See their Web Site .

Subways - The closest subways are the A, B, C and D trains to the 125th Street Station (on the corner of St. Nicholas Avenue).  Then walk south along St. Nicholas, turn left on W. 122nd Street and walk to the far corner of W. 122nd Street and Frederick Douglass Blvd.

There are MTA buses running up and down Frederick Douglass and across 125th Street.

There is street parking on nearby streets, which may take a few minutes of driving around to find.

OTHER INFORMATION

As a restaurant, Angel of Harlem is open to all ages.  Age 21 with ID required to be served alcoholic beverages.
