Now-a-days Instructors seem to be a dime a dozen. Six months of lessons and
people open up a dance class. Yet it takes more than opening up a dance
class to be a successful instructor. One has to be talented, knowledgeable,
professional, responsible, creative, nurturing and be both a good motivator
and a good communicator. Over the last year The Jai & Candy Dance
Studio has managed to break away from the rest of the pack. The studio
run by the talented young couple of Jai Catalano and Candy Mena
have made a strong impression in the local NY/NJ dance scene. In just a
short amount of time that the couple has been teaching; theyve developed
a loyal following of students, performed at various Salsa Congresses both
here and abroad, launched their own website, started their own dance company
and have performed at various history making events such as the Off
Broadway Mambo Musical LATIN MADNESS. Its for this reason that
SalsaNewYork Magazine has given The Jai & Candy Dance Studio the title
of BEST NEW DANCE STUDIO IN NJ.

- From Lincoln Tunnel
Take RT 3
West to RT. 21 South.
Get off at Exit 7 (Belleville) Make a left at the first light. Then
make a right at the following light. Drive up the hill to the
following light, which is Washington Avenue, and make a right.
We are on the left hand side.
- From Holland Tunnel
Take 1&9
South. Go over the Pulaski Skyway. Get off the Raymond Blvd exit on
the right. Make a right on Route 21 North.
Get off at Exit 6 (Belleville) Drive straight, make a left at the
second light. Go up the hill to the following light, which is
Washington Avenue, and make a right.
We are on the left hand side.
- From Turnpike
Take turnpike
either direction to Exit 15E.
Get off the Raymond Blvd exit on the right.
Make a right on Route 21 North. Get off at Exit 6 (Belleville) Drive
straight, make a left at the second light. Go up the hill to the
following light, which is Washington Avenue, and make a right. We are
on the left hand side.
